Interpretation

She dislikes me, 
and I know it.
She asks the question, 
but when I give answers, 
she eats me alive.
She asks,
"How do you describe
a kid who ate all the 
Halloween candy."

I sit and think, 
the words flying
through my head.

The words from
others in the class
filter into my ears.
Energetic, Excited, Jumpy

I muter words to myself
Scary, Evil, Crazy
because that is the way
I see them.

She turns to me in anger.
How could I say
such rude things?

I just nod, 
and apologize, 
head down, 
face hot.

I interpret
differently
and I get in trouble.
