Her First Snickers

A small bar
wrapped in noisy foil
waiting to be opened.
On solid brown packaging
one word was written
in deep blue lettering
SNICKERS.

Tentatively she begins
to open this mystery candy.
Slowly peeling away
the foil wrapper, 
to see the brown candy underneath.

She looked at the bar
holding the chocolate bar, 
licking away the slightly
melted chocolate, 
before taking the first bite.

Her mouth closed around her bite, 
the smooth creamy chocolate
melting away to reveal
the chewy nutty caramel center.
As she chewed she found the
crunchy nougat bar.

She licked her lips clean
savoring the last bit of
the sweet chocolaty goodness.
